Dear C4C Prayer Partners:

The project to buy a new pair of shoes for every child in the orphanage and in each of our three churches in Lubumbashi was a great success.  Your gifts were so generous that we were able to by shoes for over 200 children in the month of December.  There was even some money left over for other items of clothing .

We want to give thanks to our Lord for His generous provision for these dear children.  We are also very grateful to you who were willing to open your hearts and pocket books to these needy children this Christmas.   Below are some of the smiling faces at the combined Christmas worship of all three churches in the city.

Dear C4C partners,

This is a huge thank you to all of you who contributed to the new Christmas clothes for the children.  There was enough to get some very nice clothing and shoes for all the kids and they were very happy.  For some these where the first new clothes they have ever had.  The kids are very happy and excited about the festivities and gifts.

The children also had a wonderful Christmas dinner and a birthday party for one of the children….YES….Noelle was born on Christmas day.   It was a great celebration with lasting blessing into this coming year.  We are so grateful to you all for your prayers and generous gifts for these dear kids.

Please pray for our kids during the rainy season.  The mosquitoes are thick this time of year and Malaria is epidemic.   Doctor Alain checks them at least twice a week and we treat for it whenever it is diagnosed.  Typhoid,  eye and skin infections are also common.  Your prayers are needed for their health.

We have four children presently in Kinshasa seeking passports and visas to come to America.  There are three others ready to go there as soon as we can finish with these four.   Please pray for success in completing the documentation for all seven of these children.

We are asking special prayer for one child waiting for the approval to begin the final steps in Kinshasa.  Please take a moment when you read this to pray for Noelle.

Finally….The freeze on allowing the children to join their legal parents in the USA is still in place.  Please pray with us and ask your friends and churches to pray also. Pray that God will soon move the heart of the Congolese government to release all these children.  May Christ receive all the glory from His people when He chooses to do so!

Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; He directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

We are encouraged by your constant outpouring of love, prayer and gifts for these children.  It is our great joy to care for them, but we could not do it without you.  May the Lord Bless You and keep You in His Peace and Joy.
